These programs measure the value of Gentium scientific innovation in distinct therapeutic areas where we have the most knowledge and expertise. Gentium works with a global network of clinicians and specialist suppliers to advance its drugs through clinical trials.

Ongoing trials

Currently a Treatment IND Protocol, (2006-05) is open in the USA. This study is enrolling patients with VOD. 

Completed trials

Gentium has recently completed two clinical trials with Defibrotide:

A Phase III clinical trial on the Treatment of Severe Veno Occlusive Disease in stem cell transplant patients,

and

A Phase II/III Clinical Trial on Prevention of Veno Occlusive Disease in Pediatric Patients

Results from both clinical studies were presented at the American Society of Haematology Conference in New Orleans on 5-8 December 2009.
